COATING/CORROSION INSPECTION
The coating inspector is a quality assurance person whose job it is to ensure that all aspects of a coating job are handled according to the written coating specification, assuming one is available. Essentially, the inspector is a third party observer who understands all aspects of the job but performs none of the individual tasks; he/she makes sure that the job is done in the specified way with the specified materials by the proper procedure.
We at TEE SQUARE LIMITED are vast in the following and will offer them anytime, anywhere.
- Coatings Specification Development.
- Surface Preparation and Coatings application monitoring.
- Comprehensive evaluation of coating system for up-grade recommendation.
- Laboratory confirmation of paints and painting materials supplied by manufacturers
- General materials Selection
- Corrosion Surveys and failure analysis
Coating inspection work may take place on a job site, in a fabrication yard, in a plant, in a pipe mill or coating shop, on an offshore platform, or on an assembly line.
CORROSION MANAGEMENT
The site of corrosion is a common occurrence in all types of structures and industrial plant, especially in a severe environment like ours in the Niger-Delta. The cost to the community and industry runs into millions of dollars annually. Tee Square’s Corrosion Engineering Services division specialises in corrosion control solutions ranging from survey and recommendations on existing coatings through to design, supply, installation and final condition report services.
Tee Square Ltd has the capability to inspection, design and installation of cathodic protection systems. Our diverse client base includes oil and gas production, oil and gas pipelines, power generation, industrial complexes, shipping, jetty structures, etc.
Cathodic protection of buried pipelines and structures involves installing anodes at
intervals and depths determined by the cathodic protection design engineer. A different
set of design criteria is required for steel structures immersed in seawater or for the
protection of land-based above-ground tank internals.
Tee Square’s design, installation and monitoring teams will specify
the correct methods to mitigate the effects of corrosive environments
on all types of structures.
Site testing, data gathering and engineering
design allows the design team to determine the size and type of
anode system (sacrificial or permanent impressed current) and the
correct location of anodes.
INSULATION CLADDING
The insulation and cladding of pipe work for high temperature processes is vital for the protection of personnel. Tee Square’s on-site services include installing insulation and cladding using skilled tradesmen.
All work is carried out according to stringent insulation
and cladding standards to meet the client’s
specifications and satisfaction. Quality and safety are
strictly adhered to at all steges of the operation.
Waterproofing
TEE SQUARE Waterproofing are experienced in the application of waterproofing to both new and existing structures, and cover all aspects of
waterproofing where long term solutions are required. TEE SQUARE Waterproofing provide waterproofing to both new and existing structures.
Waterproofing is required to protect concrete or structures from moisture and harsh environments to sustain the integrity of the structure.
Effective waterproofing includes the application of seamless bitumen membranes,Torch On, cementitious plasters and specialized membranes and acrylic gels for both
internal and external requirements.
We can provide waterproofing that can be over coated with tiles or a wear slab. Some coatings can be applied as a decorative finish coating, depending on the situation
required. Tee Square Ltd will identify the source of water ingress and can incorporate the most technologically advanced waterproofing materials with the most effective application
technique to resolve actual and potential problems especially in the following areas;
- Low Pitch roofing/Gutters
- Below ground waterproofing
- External decks & Balconies
- Concrete waterproofing/Leak Repairs
- Waste Containment

BLASTING and PAINTING SERVICES
Steel structures require protection, especially in aggressive process plant environments where acids, saline solutions and other highly corrosive chemicals
are used.
Tee Square Ltd employs highly trained coatings inspectors who have expertise in surface preparation and protective coatings techniques and requirements. Protective coatings systems are designed fit for purpose, taking into consideration the exposure conditions of individual structures.
Tee Square Ltd has a long track record in the preparation and application of specialised coatings for structural steel, storage tanks and major plant items.
FIRE PROOFING SERVICES
Fire poses a very real risk to property, equipment and people. Tee Square Ltd can select and install materials to provide protection for up to four hours for both hydrocarbon and cellulosic exposures.
Services include fire proofing of penetrations, cabling, structural steelwork, expansion joints, risers, barriers, enclosures and control rooms.
Materials such as intumescent coatings, silicon foams, calcium silicate boards, sprayed gypsum and cementitious vermiculite make for versatility in selecting a suitable system for the protection of all building types,
structures, process plants and petrochemical installations.
